Everytime I look at this picture of this little boy I think of innocence and how quickly it's taken away. Life seems to move at the speed of light and then your an adult. I remember when I was in elementary at my favorite school Birdie Alexander. Playing with my friends Clifton Hawthorne, Jonathan Marshall and Demoine Vinson with no cares at all. Playing basketball on the blacktop at recess playing pitch up tackle until Anthony Clark broke his arm at lunch. Those were the days the good old days as we like to refer to them.One day a older kid a year older came into our class and he pulls out his trapper keeper and a piece of paper and begins to draw. It was as if he was Michealangelo himself the way the pencil touched the notebook paper. It was a picture of a shoe. Not a ordinary shoe but It was a Nike Air Force high top shoe to be exact and I was hooked. I remember tracing that shoe for weeks until I could replicate it myself. After a while I had every color posted to my bedroom wall next to Micheal Jackson posters. I finally found my niche maybe I could become an architect or a fashion designer. It was a feeling that I have only experienced a couple times in my life. When I first heard La di da di by the Get FRESH crew, and when I met my wife in the 10th grade and when I designed that gym shoe.
